I have over over thirty years experience working with adults, adolescents, families and couples. Therapy is designed to help you meet the goals you identify, I utilize interventions that have been proven to be effective for people with similar issues, while never losing sight of the fact that you are an unique individual with unique experiences, values, circumstances, and aspirations.
Many people benefit from from interventions based on specific therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), but most people benefit from blending interventions from a number of approaches,
On your first visit we will explore what brought you to counseling and develop goals and the outcomes you would like to achieve. You may complete assessments which will provide a measure of your current distress level if you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or past trauma, and you may be assigned a therapeutic exercise to work on between visits.
My office hours are from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M, Monday through Friday, but appointments may be scheduled at flexible times.

I have experience working with various issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions. With the wide range of therapeutic techniques I utilize, we will work together to find the one that will be effective and bring long lasting positive changes in your life.

My aim is to help you feel empowered, respected, and validated so that at day’s end you are truly where you want to be.

Life can be difficult at times and sometimes we do not know exactly how to make the changes we desire. Counseling is the opportunity to explore how to make those changes. I see counseling as an opportunity to get to know yourself and determine what you want in life and examine the path and behaviors that help achieve the goals that you set. Counseling is a tool that helps refine your behaviors to achieve those goals. Change does not happen overnight, but understanding yourself better can make implementing small changes in thinking and behavior possible.
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. My goal as a counselor is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment totalk about thoughts and actions that may present barriers to change. Over time, my intention is to help and support you in building your own path to change and move toward success in your life while reducing the impact of the issues that brought you to counseling. Hopefully, throughout the counseling process you will be able to successfully learn to use coping skills and techniques on your own. Everyone needs help at some point in their life. Counseling can help improve your journey to your goal one step at a time.

Engaging in therapy can be a decision that takes a lot of strength. It can often include the processing of what isn’t working in your life whether it is depression, traumatic experiences, or anxiety. However, this process can also include recognizing your strengths, purpose, and aspects of your life that may be working well. Knowing this is a journey you don’t have to travel alone and because each person is unique and every therapeutic relationship is different, I incorporate a variety of evidence-based counseling approaches to establish a plan to navigate challenges and work toward your goals.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in working with various ages and populations, as well as experience with processing and managing issues such as: Mental illness, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress management, life transitions, and many others.
My intent is to be able to work alongside my clients to connect them to their individual goals. Whatever your goals might be, we create a space together based on trust, authenticity and freedom to build self-discovery and insight into one’s own process.
